If you run a Singapore company, CorpPass is the single login that connects you to almost every government digital service: ACRA’s BizFile+, IRAS’ myTax Portal, MOM’s WP Online, Enterprise Singapore’s Business Grants Portal, GoBusiness Licensing, EDB-issued schemes, Singapore Customs and many more.
It replaced the old EASY system for tax e-Services and the various per-agency logins that used to exist. Setting CorpPass up correctly — with the right admins, the right e-Service assignments, and a sane recovery plan — saves an enormous amount of friction down the line. This 2026 guide walks through registration, role assignment, common errors, and how to handle director changes.
What Is CorpPass?
CorpPass is Singapore’s corporate digital identity. It is operated by the Government Technology Agency (GovTech) and links each authorised employee’s Singpass (their personal digital identity) to a company’s UEN. When a user logs into a government e-Service, they authenticate as themselves via Singpass and then act on behalf of the company through CorpPass.
Who Needs CorpPass?
Every Singapore-registered entity that interacts with government e-Services — which is essentially every company, sole proprietorship, partnership, charity, trade union, or society. There are limited exceptions (very small dormant entities with no statutory filings), but in practice, even a newly-incorporated dormant Pte Ltd needs CorpPass to file its annual return.
The CorpPass Roles
Registered Officer
This is one of the company’s ACRA-registered directors, partners or officers. The Registered Officer signs off on the CorpPass admin’s authority. They do not need to actively manage CorpPass — they just sign off.
CorpPass Admin
The CorpPass Admin manages the company’s CorpPass account: adding and removing users, assigning e-Services and managing user roles. The admin is typically the company secretary, finance lead, or office manager. A company can have multiple admins for redundancy.
CorpPass User
Users are employees or external service providers who need access to specific e-Services on the company’s behalf. Each user must have their own personal Singpass.
Third-Party Authorisation
You can authorise an external party (e.g. your accountant, corporate secretary or tax agent) as a “Third Party” to access specific e-Services on your behalf without making them a user under your company.
Step-By-Step: Registering CorpPass
Step 1: Identify the Registered Officer
Pick a director who is ordinarily resident in Singapore. They will need their Singpass to sign off on the registration.
Step 2: Visit corppass.gov.sg
Go to corppass.gov.sg and click “Register”. Enter the company’s UEN and the appointed Admin’s NRIC / FIN.
Step 3: Registered Officer approves
The Registered Officer receives a notification, logs in with their Singpass, and approves the admin appointment.
Step 4: Admin sets up the account
Once approved, the admin logs in via Singpass and configures the company’s CorpPass profile, including e-Service assignments and additional users.
Assigning E-Services
Each user (or third party) must be granted explicit access to specific e-Services. Common assignments include:
- ACRA — BizFile+: for annual return filing, officer changes, share allotments
- IRAS — myTax Portal: for corporate tax (CIT) and GST filings
- MOM — WP Online / EP Online: for work pass applications
- EnterpriseSG — Business Grants Portal: for PSG, EDG, MRA grant applications
- CPF Board: for CPF contributions and employer e-submissions
- Singapore Customs: for import/export permits and TradeNet
Best practice: assign on a least-privilege basis. The bookkeeper does not need MOM access; the HR manager does not need IRAS access.
Common Errors and Fixes
“Registered Officer not found”
This usually means the NRIC entered does not match ACRA’s records for the named director. Check the ACRA business profile and ensure the director’s NRIC is correctly recorded — see our register of directors guide for how to update.
Admin cannot log in
The admin’s Singpass may be locked or expired. Reset the Singpass at singpass.gov.sg, then retry.
E-Service shows “access denied”
The user is logged in but does not have that specific e-Service assigned. The admin needs to assign it under “Manage Users”.
What Happens When the Sole Director Leaves?
This is the most common emergency CorpPass scenario. If the sole director and admin departs:
- Appoint a new director via ACRA BizFile+ (this can be done by the company secretary or another existing admin).
- The new director becomes the Registered Officer.
- The new director then authorises a new CorpPass Admin.
If access has been completely lost, GovTech has a CorpPass recovery process — but it requires submitting a formal request with director identity verification and can take several weeks. Always have at least 2 admins to avoid this scenario. For director succession planning, see our director resignation process guide.
Security Best Practices
- Enable two-factor authentication on all admin Singpass accounts.
- Review the user list quarterly. Remove ex-employees immediately on departure.
- Use the audit log feature in CorpPass to monitor sensitive actions (e.g. director changes, share allotments).
- For third-party access (accountants, tax agents), set an expiry date matching your engagement term.
Final Thoughts
CorpPass is one of those pieces of infrastructure that is invisible when it works and very painful when it breaks. Set it up correctly with at least two admins, assign e-Services on a least-privilege basis, and review access quarterly. If you change directors, secretaries or accountants, make CorpPass cleanup part of your offboarding checklist.
